    Sorry for bothering you with a request, but if you, by chance, have a cassette-only album by New York synth group called Epee Du Bois, I’d be very, very grateful if you could post it in your blog. The album is impossible to find nowadays. It was released in 2010 and sold out immediately. A ”scene” mp3-release is circulating on the web, but it’s so badly ripped that it’s absolutely unlistenable.

      you know what i don’t their album came out before i jumped in to boggling.I looked on Discogs no copies for sale.I found a version on the internet variable bitrate it sounded….okay.It may just be their recording i also found about 4 tracks on a couple of Weird Records comps that were pretty lo-fi also.I’ll check Soulseek also

        yes, i meant the rip with vbr encoding. i could be wrong, of course,
        but i believe it’s the rip, not the mixing, that makes it sound so blurred.
        for instance, i compared track 5 (“no trees”) from the rip with
        the version at their myspace page, and the latter sounds much cleaner.
